What we need

Tours for My Kids will be what’s known as the ‘Controller’ of the personal data you provide to us. We will collect from you name, job title, address, email etc. and in order to provide you with a personal tour we will collect basic personal data about you and those on the tour, including names, age and general interests, however you are under no obligation to provide this, and any other information relevant to customer satisfaction. For meeting purposes we may collect your accommodation in UK and Italy. This site is hosted through Squarespace and some personal information is subject  to their privacy policy (www.squarespace.com/privacy/)

Why we need it

We need to know your basic personal data in order to provide you with notice writing and services in line with this overall contract. We will not collect any personal data from you we do not need in order to provide and oversee this service to you. We will request other information in order to provide you with a personalised tour.

What we do with it

All the personal data we process is processed by our staff in the UK and in Italy for tours in Rome. However for the purposes of IT hosting and maintenance this information is located on servers outside of the UK. If you provide your ages, names and interests they will be passed onto 3rd parties (our guides) in order to provide a personalised service. They are asked to delete this information after the tour.

We require this information to understand your needs and provide you with a better service, and in addition for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.
  • We may use the information to improve our products and services.
  • We have a Data Protection regime in place to oversee the effective and secure processing of your personal data.

How long we keep it

We are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years after which time it will be destroyed. Your information we use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information. What we would also like to do with it

We would however like to use your name and email address to inform you of our future offers and similar products. This information is not shared with third purposes and you can unsubscribe at any time via phone, email or our website.

From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you for market research purposes. We may contact you by email, phone, fax or mail. We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.

Payment methods and processing

Payments will be made via Bank Transfer or Paypal and as such will be bound to the terms & conditions, and privacy policies of these companies.

How we use cookies

A cookie is a small file which asks permission to be placed on your computer's hard drive. What are your rights? Controlling your personal information

You may choose to restrict the collection or use of your personal information in the following ways:

whenever you are asked to fill in a form on the website, look for the box that you can click to indicate that you do not want the information to be used by anybody for direct marketing purposes

if you have previously agreed to us using your personal information for direct marketing purposes, you may change your mind at any time by writing to or emailing us at ciacci.sarah@googlemail.com.

If at any point you believe the information we process on you is incorrect you request to see this information and even have it corrected or deleted. If you wish to raise a complaint on how we have handled your personal data, you can contact our Data Protection Officer who will investigate the matter.

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law to do so. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

If you are not satisfied with our response or believe we are processing your personal data not in accordance with the law you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
